my question isn't about my goldwing. My boy has a 1980 suzuki 750. The clutch seems to pull awful hard. It has a new cable that is well lubricated. It seems to shift OK, just pulls hard. Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this? Is the clutch going out?

Thanks,

If theclutch effort was okay with the old cablethe new cable routing might need to be looked at, mis-routing a section of cable can make a big difference. Other possibilities are a kinked cable housing, or a problem with the ferrule being properly seated in each end of the cable. I don't see how a worn clutch would increase the effort needed, if anything wear in the clutch makes for less effort at the clutch lever.
