I assume that you've tried putting in some high performance plugs first. That seems cheaper.
I have always understood that up rating the plugs and the ht leads is always a good start point before the considerable expense of new coils. The way the spark is generated by the plug makes a bigger difference than putting more power through the standard system.
If I'm stating the bleeding obvious then sorry.:baffled:

goldtop the HT wires are permanently affixed to the stock 1000 coils.
TheMoon These http://www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=210 are the normal upgrade for a 1000. You combine those with a dyna ignition and good wires and and you will have enough spark to lite your world!! That is the combination that I run on my dresser.
