If I remember right, the suppression is inside the unit. I do not have any on my CompuFire.

CompuFire Alternator noise

I have a 97 GL1500 with many lights. The previous owner apparently had a thing about lights. I also have a trailer that I pull occassionally.
The Honda alternator seems to keep up with my usage but the battery uses a lot of water. I have 48K miles and am concerned that the alternator needs rebuilt soon.
I purchased a used CompuFire alternator which appears to have the necessary harness connection but I see no noise suppression capacitors on it.
My main concern is,will I need to figure out how to transfer the capacitorsfrom my original alternator when I purchase a gel battery and install the CompuFire or doesn'tthe CompuFireneed radio noise suppression on it?
Will appreciate anyones' help/experiences! :?
