HI FOLKS:
After reading about another Wing owner w/water in rear end oil, thought I'd post two condensation instances yours truly had detected.
1. In spring '12, pulled rear wheel/rear end to clean everything, install new rubber shock absorber blocks & re-lube all splines with Moly 60. Found rust spots on midway point of driveshaft. Cleaned them off well before re-assembly.
2. Pulling damaged engine shortly for replacement. When u-joint boot was pulled off, found it very wet inside; front of u-joint had rust spots on o. d.
Condensation again. It has been very wet around here, with rain almost every day for 2 weeks, so dampness is a constant. BUT, it still gives an uneasy feeling when any water is detected where it should not be[even if old engine is kaput]. TTFN....papa
