Convert 4cyl. Oldwing coils to newer GL1500 Coils for Hotter spark

Can these GL1500 coils be used on a GL 1000 set up by keeping the ballast resistor in place and wiring the primary as a stock set up with the resistor. Both the stock coils and the GL 1500 coils seem to be a 2 ohm primary resistance if I am reading the post correctly.

I have used these GL1500 coils on early 80's inline four Hondas with good results in the past, yet these bike are a pulse generator electronic ignition and not points like the GL1000.
I plan on keeping the points on the GL 1000 and just want a coil set up that offer removable/replaceable HT wiring at the coils, as a PO cut the stock GL1000 coils HT wiring and spliced some new leads on there that look pretty sketchy.

Any feedback or experience with the stock GL1000 ignition with stock points using the GL1500 or even the older AW82 GL1100 coils as long as the HT wires can be replaced on the coil would be appreciated.

Thank you,

I will check the GL1500 coils I have in stock and I do have a couple of sets of the AW82's from the early 80's bikes that I believe those are 2 ohms for sure and have replaceable HT wires.

The GL1500 coils are just a little better performance from the 1980 CB's that I have converted.
