If it were me, I would attach the positive wire to the switched accessory terminal on the fuse box under the false tank, and find a good ground on the frame.I am almost positivethis terminalis switched to the key. I do not have my battery in right now as my bike is stripped, but can other GL1100 owners confirm ?



Remember that this will pump whenever the key is on, so if you are a "kill switch" guy like I used to be, the pump will continue to run, and could fill your engine with gasif you forget to close the petcock each time you stop!!!! I like the oil-pressure switch idea because the pump would quit when no oil pressure.
