Hi Guys A Happy New Year To One & All.

I have never changed my antefreeze from newin 9 Years and 58000 miles what is the risk that I am running if I dont change it.

Cottage cheese plugging up the radiator and overheating as a result.

Probably not the anti-freeze going bad as much as the crap falking or corrosion off the motor or radiator.

Although, one brand of antifreeze I used at work, grew a brown slime that was incredible. I think the phosforus did that. It was solid crap.

Replace at 24,000 mile or 38,000 k or earlier if you want your engine insides to be as pristine as the outside :)

Probably costs less than a tank of gas today

I would also use a can of flush if it has been in that long.

The anti freeze part will never fail you in cold weather. The coolant will get dirty after time but the important part which is water pump lubrication will diminish and leave you unprotected.

I would think that a new thermostat & a close look at your rad hose condition would be important before next summers heat hits!

i found on alloy heads that BMW or Mercedez coolent was very good and had no problems with it in most bike engines
