Try here:

http://www.accessoryinternational.com/fairingpocketcovers.htm

I found their pocket cover for my 86 Interstate to be more functional then the original because of the added pouch. Looks good too.

Biker Fred, have you tried somewhere like HGB motorcycles in Ruislip? They do mail order and might take a posted cheque in advance:baffled:

If age and computers go together, how come my 80 year old dad is an absolute wizard on computer, always ordering stuff, emailing around the world and generally being able to find anything he wants? I struggle like mad to email, post a simple picture or order stuff.

I have found though, that if you email any firms in the US they respond very well, allowing for time difference they reply promptly, as a rule of thumb they are 6-8 hours later than us to get up and start their day. I have ordered a few bits from the US but I have always paid by Paypal, as I have an account set up for buying and selling on Ebay.

If you are really struggling, let me know and I will try to help out. We are away for this weekend, but are back in circulation on Monday.

It's as safe to order online with your credit card as it is to phone a stranger. I've been dealing on line for nearly ten years now and have never had a problem. I like the fact that you always have a written record in the form of email or invoice that you can print.

I went to a leather repair shop, the type that make hand bags and wallets they also repair horse saddles, with my old cover and had a new one made with better straps etc.

It didn't cost a lot either

Hi bikefred,

Wing Things, mentioned above is a great place to deal with and if you can't get one from them for some reason, I have seen others too on different sites and will help point you to one.

As far as using your CC online, Visa came out with a policy several years ago of $0 responsibility for the card holder for online fraud. MC quickly followed suit. As exavid mentioned, it is as safe ( I say safer) as telling someone on the phone your CC #. If you are telling them your number on the phone, they now have it written down in front of them and even if they don't use it themselves, how are they disposing of it? In addition, when you put your number in a form online, it usually gets encrypted when it goes into the system and the human on the other end never gets to see your CC#. The card number thefts that you have heard about in the news are thefts from computer databases that were not protected properly, mainly from the processing companies themselves. Those processing companies put your CC # in their databases whether the transaction was made online, on the phone, or in person at the store anyway. FYI, I'm the network administrator for my company, so I know a little about what I'm talking about here. :)

John, I have to agree 100 percent about safety. I, too, am network administrator in business for myself and have absolutely no fear of giving my no over internet. Never had a problem here.

Good luck Bikerfred any way you want to go.
