Could a 1200 crank be swapped into an 1100 case with the 1200 pistons and the .5 overbore to match piston?

I really doubt it but it would be interesting to find out.

Don't think so... I believe case width(deck height)of the 1200 is wider to accomodate the longer stroke... shorter rods or different piston pin location might get the pistons back to deck height, but there are probably other differences too.. If you want the 1200 performance, you'd be far ahead ($$$ and time)to get a complete engine and shoe-horn it into your frame..

Thanks Brass and DaveO. I was afraid that was why I have read 1200 engines dont bolt in an 1100 bike. The longer crank throws probably required more room internally, so the whole engine had to be expanded!
I was hoping it would be like building a 383 small block chevy. You use a crank from a 400 in a 350 block.
