Crank trigger for GL 1200 ltd

The diagnostic computer says I need a Crankshaft Angle Sensor but the part number ( 30300 MG9 951) is discontinued. Where can I get new old stock or can I use a crank trigger from something else, maybe a MSD crank trigger? The Bike has been well maintained from new and is a great bike so I would hate to toss it for what seems a small problem. Thanks for any help.
