Hi guys, does anyone here know the horsepower stats for the GL's in crankshaft terms?

I have what I believe to be the rear wheel figures of between 85-96 HP for the 1000-1200 respectively, but, I need the crankshaft HP figures to sort the fuel injector sizing for the EFI system that my group and I are building for our Wings.

Any source of help would be greatly appreciated.

The information I have is:

GL1000 84hp GL1100 81hp GL1200 86hp GL1500 95hp

I think the slightly lower hp of the GL1100 is due to the smaller carbs, mentioned on Steve's excellent "History of the Goldwing".

There is a formula for calculating the shaft HP on an internal combustion engine if you know the following:

GL1200 Bore 75.5 mm / Stroke 66.0 mm (2.97 / 2.59 in)

Displacement 1182cc (72.1 c.i.)

Compression Ration 9.0:1

The formula should be on the internet. If I can find some time, I'll look it up and post it for you..
