Hey Wingers I have a strange problem with my cruise control speeding up on its own...it will hold for a bit but the slightist bump and it seems to increase the speed.

92 Aspencade 1500cc

any suggestions?

Hey Englishted !

It continues to increase slowly....you'll find it set on 65mph and after about a mile you'll be cruising at 75mph....makes for an interesting ride...thx Ogre

Hi Exavid, Thanks for your input I have a feeling you may be right about the vaccuum leak. The accel/deccel button works quite well. I've played with it while riding down the road and both buttons have excellent response....my problem now is to locate the vaccuum actuator...I believe its on the shift side under the side cover??? Big round black thing? sorry, I do have a Clymer manual but it gives no details on the cruise control..just says take it to the dealer and get a 2nd mortgage.....thx Ogre

Well that figures~~~~ I have a 92 winger and the Clymer I bought covers to 92.....so I guess its back to the store .....thx again!! Ogre:baffled:

Hey Wingers I think I figured it out...due to my inept memory I was setting the cruise too soon...seems you MUST have the rpm settled for a bit on flat road before you engage the cruise control...then it seems to hold fairly well...sorry for the bother...
I think I have the Swine Flu....my wife keeps calling me a PIG ! hmmm

Yea I got moved to a job (involuntarily) that meant comuting 230 miles a day to work...didn't want to sell and move any closer because I had only to put in a few more years and retire.....which I just did 5 months ago....hopped on the bike and 8000 miles later summer disapeared....so I thought it to be a good time to get some expert opinions on a few things....ain't no Wing Winter Wonderland here just winter....
