When has the throttle cable been lubed/oiled? I don't know if this might help, but it may be worth it, or your Cruise control switch?
Good Luck,

Just another thought. You might want to check the speedometer cable. When the front forks move the bend in the cable housing changes. A dragging speedometer cable will cause cruise to change speed.

Yep. Worn out speedo cable.

Replace it complete for under $20.
