Did you recently change the brake and clutch levers with after market ones.

This is a common problem with after market levers

I would say read the manual, but you could not find it because it is spelled CRUISE CONTROL, not cruz. This is the real world, ebonics does not work here.
Please use a spell check.

If you look in the manual, there is a video that covers the entire cruise control system in depth.

If you have checked all the switches and don't have aftermarket levers.

Another possibility would be a vacuum leak or a pinched vacuum line.

Perhaps the cable is broken or disconnected.

Cruise light comes on but cruise set does not come on correct?

Then recheck all your switches to make sure they are set correctly when clutch and front and rear brakes are not applied.

hi you can also make sure by checking that the brake light is not stuck on mine was and it didnt work untill i released the back brake off a little with the plug just to the side of the battery on the right hand side

mmonsterbuck is still having problems getting his Cruise Control to SET. 1988 GL 1500. I just had a phone call from him and he has:
1. OEM brake and clutch levers (seem to be working the switches correctly)
2. Verified the micro switches on both handlebar levers are working correctly.
3. Cruise ON light is working
4. I think I have helped him locate the Rear Brake Cruise Cancel and the Throttle Cancel micro switches to be checked.
After he checks the two micro Switches and he posts a reply about status, any help would be appreciated. The 4th Post above mighthave possibilities.
Ebonics?? Come on, play nice!:(
He just needs his 'cruz'to workso he can enjoy the ride.:clapper:
