ideas please, 97 gl 1500, What im thinking is replacing the left side
fairing top pouch cover, the soft one with a piece of smoke plexiglass
to mount switchs and maybe a voltmeter, and cigarette lighter in. Any
idea out there, or has anyone done this, or seen it.

Thanks All

No reason you couldn't. A piece of ABS might be a better match than plexiglass. I recently installed a 12V cigarette type socket inside on the front wall of my left side cubby. I put it inside so it wouldn't be exposed to weather and such. It came in handy on my recent road trip because I could charge my cell phone inside the cubby with the soft cover on. Kept things out of site.

You can also buy a hard pocket lid for the left side. Looks similar to the one on the right side. I forget where I bought mine but I'm sure they can be easily got.

Yeah I think they look good. That's what I planned on doing when I have a few bucks in hand, I'd like an oil pressure and volt gauge on one of the firecreek mounts.
