The MJWs are getting worse.... now I'm worrying a lot about "High Speed Weave." I don't know why I'm worried about it since I never go over 75-80 miles an hour.... and you gotta get up around 110-120 miles an hour for it to be a factor.... who rides that fast?

When did I start worrying about everything? When Red and I started, we had that good ol' 750 Suzuki GS. I had one sleeping bag strapped to the front forks like on thatTV show "Here Comes Bronson!" Never worried about a thing.... we slept like babies in a department store tent that cost us about $50. The bike had a poor stator and wouldn't charge, so we bought a trickle charger to take with us. Every night, we would remove the battery and sneak around the campground to find an unattended plug-in, from which we sucked free juice! Never worried about it, and never got caught, although once I heaped up old leaves and sticks over the battery and charger to hide them! Every morning we'd reinstall the battery and take off -- no concerns whatsoever!

Now I worry about everything.....

am I just getting old?

Ya'know Mel, if you're still having those problems by the time you hit Nebraska, I think I have a few Xanax laying around I can loan you. :D:cheeky1::D:cheeky1:
Y'know..... I've always felt good and relaxed in Nebraska, even when a 240lb Native American spit between my feet up in Chadron...... I was very alert, but strangely relaxed......

The .45 ACP I habitually carry (when sans shotgun) always comes out easier when one is not all bound up and tense...... not that I brought it out then, but the potential was there......

Hey CJ :waving:

Did you end up getting a Laptop/Aspire 1 Notebook?
Naww..... kinda gave up on that...... There is just no place, and I mean no place, to carry ia notebookon the ST....especially 2-up! Our mobile computer will just have to wait until I someday get a trailer.......

I think that 2-up camping on the ST would be a lot more comfortable with a small trailer. Too late now, but next time.....

Mel, try something

Sit down on the sofa with your lovely lady.

Open an old photo album and a road map.

Does it put smiles on your faces?
You are a wise man, nobbie --- that it does, that it does!

We've been touring pretty regularly since 1989. We have lots of photo albums and lots of old, wrinkly, marked up road maps! And every mark, every wrinkle is a lovely memory, and merits lots of smiles!

Thank you, sir...... pays to keep it all in perspective! We will be fine tomorrow at 1030 hours..... Red will be out of school, the bike is packed, we know our route, we have friends to see along the way...... It's good to be free, it's good to be alive, and it's damn good to be a motorcyclist! See you out there!
