This means dead, right? I remember when I purchased the coils I got 3.2 ohms in one of these tests, but I don't remember which. I did isolate the coils and did both combinatons of test 2 and 3.

ok...now I feel dumb, the battery in my analog meter was dead. My digital meter read 3.2 ohm between the top poles. I'm still getting nothing between the top poles and the output posts.

I AM not sure of how you tested..but just take your meter set it to ohms resistance..and probe the 1/2 wires and 3/4 wires they should read aroudn 24..if they are OK, the primary resistance should be around 4..meter set to 200 setting.

I'm confused how to test the secondary windings. I found a website stating to test between either pole and the output, but you're stating to test between the two outputs to get the secondary ohms?



I did find the ohms between the input poles to be correct....in this case about 3ohms.
