Hate to say it but... it's all part of that simple but atrocious word, GREED!

I stopped in a local dealer for R-front brake pads. Dude got the number &quickly turnedto get'em. Before he got to far I ask how much are they? He says $49.99. I said I wanted only one set,the right side. He says, they are. I stopped him rather quickly saying, "Ummm, at that price, you better keep'em".

The killer was, his boss was making out an orderon their PC &hedidn't even budge. NOT EVEN an offer of a better price by (fake) looking in the books a second time.

So since I had time before pads wore to the rotorI searched Ebay. Now I have all 3 sets for $43.50 (w-shipping),and there Kevlars, not organics!

What amazes me is, Honda car set(4 pads) are twice as big and
cost UNDER:clapper:$10.00 ! ! !

I gave a fleeting thought to buying the car pads & reshape to fit but the Ebay pad price is hard to beat.

Thanks mama-Honda :shock:for the "attempted" price gouge.

...the parts catalog actually has that price on the kit. You never know about parts prices, some bean counter just grabs a price out of thin air and types it into the catalog...same part under different numbers and totally different price,
Curious:

Isn't here a MASTER parts catalog and on pricing then all dealers work off of those, then markup or down, for their final prices? This pricing can't be much different than Ace Hardware, individually owned stores.

Being as big as Wal-y World is, might look deeper into it's forward thinking.

Are they getting ready for something in the future we customers haven't seen coming, yet?

Let's keep an eye on Wal-y Worlds crystal ball.... & report back.
