Can anyone suggest a goodtype of gasket material for the 80s type saddlebags? I've got an '83 Aspencade and the gasket material is pitiful...surely not what was installed to begin with.

Not sure what exactly what you need but a good softneoprene bulb type should do. You should find them at a home improvement store.
