Started the bike for the last time this season, when I started it the headlight came on about 1 second late,like a delayed reaction.Has anyone experienced this ?

Can't say as I have, as my headlight is on when I first turn the key to the run position before I even hit the button.

Starter button sticking or has dirty contacts.Headlights go out when cranking the engine over.

Yep, Chris nailed it...starter contacts are sticking.

DO NOT use WD-40 in the switch as it will draw dirt and cause it to gum even more...use electronic contact cleaner that you buy at Radio Shack.

Much better to do it now, by spring the switch will be in worse condition. It's a good idea to hit all switches with some cleaner/lube before storage.
