I have a Diamond Star Headlight Modulator that was installed by a previous owner. This is the one with Heads Up Traffic Alert (what ever that means).

Currently only my low beams work. No high beams. No modulation at all. The SDC web site has wiring instructions for a modulator that doesn't have the same color wires or the same number of wires.

What I have is 4 large (its all relative) wires that go to the headlights (Blue; Blue/White; Red; Red/White) and I assume that they are wired correctly. There is a light sensor attached to 2 wires. 3 wires that goes to a 3 position switch (I assume that thisis to turn it off) no idea what the third position is for? There is also a green wire that isn't attached to any any thing. When I put a volt meter on it I get 8.5V on low beam and 116V on high. There is also a purple wire that isn't attached to any any thing. When I put a volt meter on it I get 9.7V on low beam and 11.6V on high. I would like to know where these go. Any ideas?

I sent an email to SDC to see if they will give me any help, but here it is Saturday and they have the weekend off. For me the weekend is for chores at home and weekdays are for riding.

Thanks for any help,
ray

This is just an FYI. SDC just sent me an email with the installation instructions for this unit. Have to like a company that responses in a timely manor.

But I sense put the bike back together with the headlights hooked up with out the modulator. So I have both high and low beams. Will look into getting the modulator working in the near future.
