Can anyone tell me if the ORIGINAL 1985 GL1200A Aspencade came with a radiator grill?
The chrome/lighted radiator grill on mine is so heavily rusted and pitted that I would like to remove it.
I am trying to keep it original.

i'm thinking it came with a black grill. the se may have had the chrome one but i think they all came black and the chrome was an ad on?:shock: somebody!

Rod, I just dug out the original from my '86 Interstate. It is black metal. Not sure if the Aspencade was the same, but I suspect it was.

All years, all models had the black, diamond pattern grill. Should be easy to find one. Lots of people removed the original to put the chrome on.
