Yesterday I decided to change my oil. Everything went just fine. I put in the proper amount of oil and decided to turn the engine over, with the kill switch off, to fill the filter, check the level, and prevent a "dry" start.

Did you know that if you don't put the filler cap back on and you crank the engine that an amazingly large amount of oil will spray out the filler hole? On to your shop floor, your leg, your motorcycle lift and tools?:cheeky1::goofygrin::doh:

It will.

Have youever put armoral on a seat on a bike :grinner:I did that back in the seventies on a Honda 750 seat. This was back when the passenger and driver"s seat were the same height and not devided. I would have lost my passenger if I had't has a sissy bar :grinner:I have not heard the end of that yet!!!:goofygrin::goofygrin:

When I was in the Air Force one of the kids (an assistant crew chief)was trying to improve the appearance of his F-16. Instead of putting Armor-All on the sidewalls of the tires, he covered the tires with the stuff. As soon as the airplane taxied out it slid sideways and almost ran into another plane! The tires had to be changed at about $400 apiece, and the plane missed its scheduled takeoff.

Bet he lost a stripe over that one!!

I've also found that wearing deck shoes in the car wash, wash-waxing the bike, and trying to stand up afterwards at the stop signcan be challenging.

Arrrgh, thisbe Cap'n Hobie about to go below deck. Avast me mateys!! I'll be pissin on the missen mast! Thar she blows:clapper::dance:Arrrr.

I hope you find the missing mast Hobie! I used to have a ketch but the mizzen wasn't missing.
