Lost another good one. 81 yrs old.I sure wish I could've met him. Dang it, are there any good ones left? James Arness, probably isn't far away. Actually, this is getting close to bea good time to escape this world.



Sorry, Dennis Weaver, not Jim. Jiom Weaver was a local insurance guy, that died, awhile back.

Robert Lee Scott, the scion of the World War ll Flying Tigers, died at the age of 97 yesterday. Listen to what this man was still doing well into retirement:

Scott continued to be active well into his retirement. In 1984 he flew an F-16 Falcon jet fighter, and in 1995 an F-15 Eagle. On his eighty-ninth birthday, in 1997, he flew in a B-1B Lancer bomber. During the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, Scott carried the Olympic Flame along a section of Georgia Highway 247 named in his honor.

I think the moral of this is that if you want to live to be 97, keep active, and keep flying or riding...

Yea Ole "James Arness" he's getting old!

Big Boy in his day 6' 9" tall !!

He's "Peter Graves" brother or visa versa?!

Weaver never ate meat and didn't smoke or drink (cancer) go figure??!!

Great actors, great memories (Gunsmoke)!

Don't forget ole "festis". he was good too !:clapper:
