Where is the drain plug located on an 87 interstate?

My 84 1200 was in the rear right coner of the engine on the bottom, I think they moved it to the front by the filter for 85-87 models.

For the '85's its in the same spot (right rear corner)

Best way to spot it is to look under the bike from the left.

Welcome to the forum.

I assume you mean the oil drain? That's to the rear of the motor on the right side--just below the right rear motor mount(as you sit on the bike) The thing that made it hard for me to find is, it doesn't point down, it points to the rear of the bike.
