I am ready to get the rear cover back on after getting the stator in place. The drive shaft coming out of the bike came out with the cover. The splined gear it slides back onto inside of the case has to be positioned and the shaft slides into it and the roller bearing inside of the case. My question is; is there a spacer/washer that fits between that inside case bearing and the inside splined gear? I cannot see anything that dropped and certainly did not hear anything drop inside of the case. Thanks!

Well, I am going to answer my own question too! I just found a diagram in the clymer book showing the breakdown of the output shaft and it does not show a washer/spacer located betweenthat splined gearand the case bearing. Gotta dig deeper next time, I guess:?:?
