I have no relationship other than one of a customer but over the years I have bought numerous gizmo's from EC. Consistently good stuff.

I just installed a headlight cut off that prevents the headlight from coming on until the motor is started (supposed to save the HID bulb); Darn nice design, install was trivial. Removing it either for good or in an emergency would be easy, less than 5 minutes after seat is removed.

Noted they have a Reverse Beeper for the GL1800.

Not sure I like the idea of more noise, but it might make someone look at you.

I bought a set of LED driving lights from them. I really like them.

I did that for myself, really simple to do on an 1800.

I always thought it was crazy bikes never have an on/off switch for the lights.
Now they are doing stupid things with cars like lights that are always on also!

There are many times when you may want the key on but the lights off! Like when I just ran my battery dead today trying to find why my trailer lights were not working.
To have the turn signals on of course I had to have the key on, with headlight and all also on which I did not want of course and it did not take long to run down the battery!
Luckily after sitting about 10 minutes the battery came up good and started the bike, but at first it would not even click or grunt.

As for the lights only being on when the engine is running, I would not like that either!
There are times in the dark of night or when working on it you may want the lights on but engine off.
Like adjusting the headlight or replacing bulbs, or in dark looking for something you just dropped.
Or how about stranded on side of road with a dead bike? Might want to flash the lights at other vehicles for some reason.

A simple on/off switch like used in all the "older" cars and trucks is what's needed. Let the rider decide rather the lights should be on or off.

That goes for cars/trucks etc.. also.
It is so STUPID and very annoying to be blinded by headlights on a parking lot just because people are sitting there with the engine running to keep the heater working till they go into work!
They can't shut off those stupid always on lights so wife and I get blinded with 3 cars shining lights in our eyes, but no-one is driving!

The manual headlight off switch became obsolete in 1978, prior to that date bikes could be run (and often were) with no headlight at all.

Headlights on all the time (other than when starting the bike of course) was much better to be seen until the cages started doing the same thing, now we have to add a headlight modulator before 99.9% of the cages see us.

I just put them on my favorites list. I like the lights and the prices. Thanks.
