i have a 78 gl1000, i have fixed a lot of electrical connections and now i get power to starter, but there is no spark at plugs, previous owner put electrical ignition in, (no points) if any body can help i would appreciate it. thanks

Have you checked for power going into the back of the coils?

GL 1000? Coils, check inside your "Tank" on the walls (2 of them)!

The coils are right behind the steering head, forward of the air cleaner.
