Does your horn sound when you use the remote to lock your bags?

Mine does not. Was going over the schematics and noted a horn/trunk lock relay. Found it under the seat, bridged the appropriate pins and sure enough it sounded the horn. Have 12v constant at the relay coil, but the other side is not going to ground by signal from the trunk lock remote unit. Before I ring out the wiring, or indict the remote lock control unit I was wondering if this is experienced by all, or perhaps that function has been eliminated by design? Thanks for your responses.

That's how it should work, on all GL1800s. It don't honk when remotely locking or unlocking.

Thanks. Now I'm wondering why they designed in an unused relay and wiring.

2007 U.S. model VA (heat/audio/nav)

The relay is the 4th (center) relay in the grey block.

Activated thru pin 6 of the trunk lock control unit.
