I have continuity between all three yellow leads from the stator. This is a good thing. I also have continuity between these three leads to engine ground. This is a bad thing. As I understand it, having continuity from these leads to engine ground positively means the stator needs to be replaced. The manual is pretty straight forward on the above diagnosis. Just want to confirm this with you people and is engine removal a must to do this? Not a problem, just want to confirm before I start wrenching. Thanks in advance for the feedback, and to Jason.

Your diagnosis is right,so is your fear about the engine coming out to fix it!
