I had breakfast a few times with a small group that included Paul. Haven't seen him for several years.
He signed off with his boots on, doing something he loved, at a respectably old age: That's about as good as it gets.

Redwinger. I don't know all the details, but someone said he may have blacked out, then hit that damnable concrete these highway engineers love so much. I've had more than my share of "love" quotes for that miserable concrete.
