Does anyone know if the 84 Interstate gas tanks work in a 87 Aspencade??
They have different OEM numbers but that could just the year difference like most other things. :?

They should be the same, like you said, they have different part numbers, but a lot of part numbers change during a model's run. Could just be a slight mounting hole difference or a slight modification to the shape of the tank to accommodate something different on the 87.:)But I doubt it would be enought to keep it from fitting.:)

you will have to dent the 84 to make room for the 87 engine at least when i put the 85 engine in my 84 i had to dent the gas tank to make some room for the alt housing.:action:

Yes the bigger alternator on the later model means you will have to dent the tank.
