Factory GPS Unit

Being absolutely spoiled with current Honda technology and this may be a selfish or isolated issue but I have a difficult time seeing my factory Navi GPS screen during day time riding. I find myself leaning down and having to put a lot of effort into seeing the display due to glare. Could this be just me due to regressing eyesight or the fact that I wear polarized eye-ware? Regardless I find this option to be not so user friendly during daylight operations but an overall wonderful and useful option. It may also possibly be that this could be corrected with a mini sun shield that could be extended or swiveled over the display unit?

Or perhaps future generation Honda options could be a windshield with heads-up display and/or a Honda engineered helmet that would incorporate all existing sound systems including Bluetooth and a heads-up display? (But then there are liability issues that may prohibit and limit these options?) Or perhaps this may be an opportunity for after market enhancements?

In any event this is just my thoughts and by no means does this glare issue hamper my overall wonderful Goldwing experience.

Thanks james b and I have tried the dimmer without success. It could be the glare from my bald head is just to intense...

Bikefix, Polarized eyewear, while very effective at reducing glare, does make reading any LCD or TFT displays very difficult. I notice it when I try to read my smartphone or my TOM TOM during the day when wearing my polarized lenses.
