Whatever it is it's an addon replacing your right hand cubby and lid. Looks kinda cool I hope someone knows what it is.

Seems likely the pot is to adjust the hysteresis or sensitivity of the unit. It might just be a couple plastic hole covers missing, it doesn't seem likely they'd design the thing with open holes facing forward. First off for trouble shooting would be to see if the control module was getting power, check the clutch and the two brakes switch inputs, the vacuum line that feeds the actuator and the actuator itself. Usually with an applied twelve volts to the vacuum valve and a little vacuum applied with a hand pump you can see if the actuator will work with an applied voltage.

Well, when you take off the cover you find a circuit board. The LCD lit up but did not display anything. We removed the circuit board to do some testing and there was a 3v. Lithium battery soldered to the under side of the circuit board. We checked the battery and it was dead. We de-soldered and removed the battery and hooked up a ground and applied 3v. to the positive lead and the LCD started working. I went over to Radio Shack and purchased a new battery. We soldered in the newbattery and it is working. I guess the only thing the 12v. from the bike does is operates the backlighting on the LCD. All functions of the LCD work off the 3v. battery.

I hope my cruise control problem is this easy to fix.:gunhead:
It's amazing that they would put a soldered in battery in the thingwith no way to easily replace it. . Well Done!
