i just picked up a 93 gl1500a that was dropped by the previous owner and the front upper fairing was broken pretty bad on one side.my question is ,is it easier to re-install the fairing by installing the fairing stay to the plastic first,or attach the cowl stay and then attach the upper fairing, there is a lot of parts in that thing and would like to do this easier than taking it apart. also is there a replacement hardware kit available for the upper fairing some was lost when broken.

thanks

Welcome aboard.

Easiest way is to install the fairing mounting bracket onto the fairing first, then install the fairing assembly onto the bike. Don't see any other way unless you know someone that's doublejointed with tiny hands.
Good luck.

You could check here for the part and then check out you local Ebay store for the part(s) for the best deal. Or ask here, There are a few guys selling bits and pieces in the 'for sale' forum.
