Finally made it to a Goldwing

Well after starting out on a 75 125XL when it was new, I finally made it to a Goldwing. Went to a CB360, then a couple of 500"s in the Eighties. I bought a Silverwing Interstateearly this spring as I was wanting to start riding again (marriage, kids, work, etc.!).

Shortly after I bought my Silverwing, I heard about an old Goldwing sitting in a barn not being used. It peaked my curiousity and I travelled several miles on gravel roads to eventually find the farm and the bike.

When he rolled back the barn door, there stood a lonely, but beautiful 82 interstate. "Only rode it once last year, too many grandkids now", he told me. Since it had no papers, I couldn't test drive it but he started it and it fired up right away into a steady purr. I drove away thinking I'd be back next spring after getting used to riding again.

Well he phoned me last week and told me he was bringing the bike to town to let his brother in law sell the bike for him. After a short test ride, It ran as well as it looked, I decided to sell my Silverwing and buy this beauty. The Silverwing sold very quickly, and I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful interstate with 86 thousand original Km's.

I'd attach a photo of both bikes but even at 500Kb, the forum won't let me post this article with a photo; How to proceed?. I'm looking forward to getting familiar with this forum.

Thanks, Art
