i went to the first day of bike fest in las vegas today, they really should call it harley fest.

the one thing that really caught my eye was a product to repair plastics. it can glue, fill, patch, and form,(such as side panel posts). it seemed simple enough and his samples seemed strong. the name plastex, the email, www.plasticrepairkits.com.

thought it might be worth checking out.

Yup, type 'Plastex' into the Forum search engine and only 48 threads mention the product. Definitely one of the alternatives, of many, that seem to work for us DIYers hanging out here.

I have used this product and it does a good job. I used it on the trunk lid of my 1500 to fill the holes from a luggage rack that the PO installed and I replaced the rack with a new one. The holes would not matchup. Of course this was done before the new paint job and you can not tell it now. I have also used it to make repairs on the broken tabs on the side panels.

Very good product even though it it a little pricey!!!
