I think y'all know I tinker with older wings. In 1979 I put a drag spcialties raw steel fender on my 78 (check the avatar) and have never seen one again. Sure, some plastic fenders, but never another steel one.

until now! scored this REALLY cheap on ebay.... needs to clean up, but it was a real STEEL (opps, steal)

rcmatt I have an offer to buy that same fender for my 1100 for 45.00 shipped and all, I assume that is a pretty good deal?

I paid just over that when the shipping was included.... but I paid about 125 for the one on my 78 new in 1979. the fender mounts are the same for a 1000 and an 1100. so it would fit an 1100 as well.

got out the random orbital and off with the red.... small amount of rust, but it will clean up good.... also took off the dorkey chrome thing...

good solid steel.... wow! never thought I would ever see one agin like the one my 78!

looks like fleabay may have some good deals as it looks like people aren't bidding on things like a couple of years ago

just noticed the read really brings out the solid oak floor well!
