when i got my 1200 it had a set of boards on it. they were mounted and adjusted improperly. i put the stock pegs on and rode it for awhile. last week i put the boards on the right way. even made a new brake pedal,so it wouldn't foul the mounting bracket, as it did for the previous owner.
well, i have had no problem with ground clearance, but i have to say ,i don't care for all the foot movement i have just to shift and brake.
i think i am going back to pegs, and maybe a set of pegs on the safety bars.

I had them on my 1200. Its like driving a car with a clutch. When you get used to lifting your feet, you don't think anything about it.
