This isa difficult impasse for me. I am not a joiner...Am 56yrs young, retired, divorced and have been riding since before I was 10 yrs old. Started on mini-bikes, owned many motorcycles thru the years, Garelli, Hodaka, Suzuki, Bultaco, (yeah, dirt rider for years), Moto-Guzzi, Yamaha, Triumph, BSA, Harley...but have an 84 Aspencade that I have put on over 150K. Just put it away for the winter. Have never owneda Ducati or a Beaull-(sp)...but pretty much most bikes that have been available, even ran Trials bikes for awhile.

I need help, am looking to buy a 2005 or newer 1800 and am overwhelmed as to where the H*** to look. There's alotta crap on these things nowadays! I will list a 'wanted ad' in the proper section but any and all advice from you wll be greatly appreciated!

I am a veteran and live to climb on my bike. I am hoping to locate a bike that I can fly out to get in spring and ride home to the Northwoods. Anyway, Thanx for this forum and also in advance of any helpfull knowledge that you are willing to impart! I am the lone riding guy who will stop and do everything possible for any biker that is in trouble!!!

The X-6 Hustler was a quick bike for it's time. I didn't like 2-strokes much, but they were very quick. the old trails were a blast when I was a kid roaming around Lake Arrowhead.

Yeah, I jumped into a Z-1 after the X-6....wheelies at 75 & climbing mph...damn foolish kids!!..(forgot to list Kawasaki earlier).

But memory for memory and dollar for dollar the best old dirt bike I ever had I was my Combat Wombat...ran that for quite awhile, never ever failed me.

My thanks to all! I am retiring on Friday this week and have determined that my 84 Aspy needs to be put away and some tlc will occur overtime to make her pristine again. So that's why I am looking for another wing. It began as a non-organized search in cyber land...became overwhelming and Tha's is why I decided to join this forum. Looked at some others but felt this was the right fit for me. I like this site and the obvious concern that you all show for one another. Am very impressed. Again thanks for the welcome!! Itch

Hi,
I don't have much advice about getting a bike, but you might want to post your question over in the general section. Most of the gurus won't see it over here.
