I'm sticking my wing on eBay next week but thought I'd give you guys a head start in case anyone is interested. I'm hoping for offers around £3000.
This is the blurb I've prepared for e Bay;

For sale; This is my 1988 GL1500J. I’ve owned it since February 2005.

When I bought it (from D&K in Stoke), it had covered 18292km (11336 miles). It has now done 40560km (25202 miles). In goldwing terms I think this is still classed as bedding in!

Taxed to the end January 2012, MOT’d until February 15[suP]th[/suP] 2012

The bike is a Japanese import and it’s a VIP model.

Has original tool kit and compressor hose.

The last service was at 30034Km

Items serviced;[/b]

Oil (3.75ltr)

Oil filter (HF303)

Sparkplugs (NGKDPR7EA-9) X6

Timing belts (gates T275 x2)

Antifreeze (50/50 MIX antifreeze/distilled water)

Rear brake pistons (43107-MA7-006) x2

Rear brake piston seals (45209-MA7-006) x2

Rear brake piston dust seals (45109-MA7-006) x2

Rear brake pads

All brake fluid changed (Dot4)

Clutch fluid changed (Dot4)

Final drive oil changed (SAE90 140cc)

Centre stand removed, greased, powder coated

All metal cowlings removed and powder coated

New front tyre, June 2010

New front tyre valve fitted Jan 2011

The bike also has a super brace fitted, (fitted July 2007)

The rear tyre was changed just after I bought it and has loads of life left in it.

Both tyres have ultra seal in them.

New battery approx 1 year ago.

Seat has had a professional repair. (colour match not perfect)

It has heated grips, hand wind deflectors, spot lights, light up reflectors on top box and panniers, front fairing sides. (top box and front fairing linked to indicators)

plus some LED’s fitted.

Has all the goldwing toys, cruise control, air compressor, radio/cassette.

There are some scratches on the bottom of the right pannier which were on the bike when I bought it.

Comes with clymer workshop manual.

The reason I’m selling it is that I have only done 225 miles on it since it’s MOT in February 2011 and it will soon need an exhaust system as it’s started blowing slightly, although it is still quieter than most bikes out there. I can’t validate spending out on an exhaust to do such low mileage so I’m going to sell it and stick with my other bike. Hence the low starting price.

Viewing is no problem, please email, I’m in Stockport/Manchester.

If you want more pictures or info please ask.

This is a 23 year old bike and I would describe it’s condition as good.

Many thanks for looking.
