That's a very nice Classic Goldwing, and I believe you're in the ballpark. I might ask $3,000 and settle for $2,700 or so, and it depends a lot by local market.
I'm about to sell my '85 GL1200 Aspencade and '83 GL1100 Standard with a Vetter fairing to pick up a GL1500 Aspy, my last bike. I need some room to preserve domestic tranquility!:readit::lash::ROFL: I also don't need to maintain 3 Wings; I'm looking SIMPLIFY my life and prefer riding to wrenching.
That said, I've talked to a lot of Wing owners. Based on what they told me, EBay can work but, like Craigslist, has a lot of bottom-feeders and BSers. I think what you're doing is the best approach and what I'm going to do, other than use CarSoup, and that it FOCUSED MARKETING. Once I have clean photos, I'll post them here, the Honda Goldwing Owners Forum, and Classic Goldwing Forum, all of which I participate in. That way, only people who know what they are and are into Classic Wings will call and not waste my time with a bunch of baloney.
