Howdy guys,

I got a 77 GL1000 and I'm replacing the fork seals currently. At the top of the forks, the nuts allow me to run them as air forks with a valve like for a tire. When i took off the forks though oil came out. My question is, if i decide to keep these as air forks, do I run oil in them at all or just use air, or a combo of the 2?

Thanks

Only 6 psi max on my GL1200 front fork.

A 1200 is not a 1000 so not applicable and 1000s didn't come with air fittings on the forks anyway. 1100s were up to 21 PSI in the forks.

Ok so do I put in the recomended amount of about 6oz then? ATF right?

I'll play with the air pressure to get a good ride height. But i definitely won't go over 20 psi
