Here's a question for ya. I replaced my front brakes and fork seals, now i have a tic tic tic? Must be from the brakesbecause when I apply the brakes there is a single tac. The slower I go the slower the tic tic tic, front brake and tac. I loosened and retorqed but seems to be some "play" on both sides? I don't want to over tighten! The pads seem tight to the touch. Is this "play" normal? :(

At least gl1000 requires 0,7mm clearance between the left hand side outer brake pad and disc.I don't know if this work with gl1100.

wda, yes she is an 82 gl-1100. They are linked via hydrolics. Wraped disk? I assume you ment warped and no I didn't check that, will do that tonight.

Bagmaster, If you don't have anything better to do and wanna ride up and take a look feel free. Always open to learn a little more. Easiest way to find me is go to the Rock Hill Galleria Mall andask for the Mall Cop. sat, sun, & mon 0700-1500 / tues & wed 1500-2300.

The 82's don't have linked brakes like the 83's and later models. The right handlebar master cylinder controls both fronts and the foot pedal controls the rear only. On a linked system as we refer to it the foot pedal controls one of the front cylinders and the rear at the same time.

Weather permitting this afternoon I just might show up around the time you get off at the Mall. I'll bring my laptop with all the manuals on it as my brother has my paper manuals at his house for an 83 he's still working on.

What part of Rock Hill is the Mall in? Give me an address. Or I could just pull it up on my GPS with one of the names for any store in the Mall. What stores are in there?

This is of course assuming you rode the bike to work today and have it at the Mall, otherwise meeting you in York would be a lot closer. Where do you park it at the Mall?
