I just removed the floorboards and went back to footpegs on my '86 Aspencade. The engine front hanger bolt (threaded on both ends) obviously came with the boards, as it extends about an 1 1/4" out each side. My question: is the stock bolt also threaded on both ends with cap nuts? In the service manual it appears to be, but when looking up parts online, the diagrams show a hex head bolt with a regular hex nut. I know this has been asked before,so sorry for asking again. At some point in time I'd just like to get the original bolt back on. Thanks!

Right, standard is a hex bolt with a nut on the other end that also holds the bottom crash bars on. I had to use a bolt like what you have when I had my side car brackets on.
