It might be the wobble was aggravated by the speed you were traveling. Twenty five mph is pretty close to the 35mph area that all 'Wings like to wobble if given half a chance. Anything hitting a spinning wheel parallel to the axis can initiate a wobble, try it with a spinning top or gyroscope, it can cause a very strong wobble to occur. It has to do with precession and the sideways resistance of the pavement coupled with the springiness of the fork and bike combination. Even a car's front wheel can wobble when hit sideways, normally the wobble will decay unless it's close to the resonant frequency of the wheel and vehicle combination. This happened a while back but I was coming home one night when a rabbit came out of the ditch and hit my front wheel. It caused my front wheel to go into a wobble and took about 200 feet until I could stablize it again. I am just glad that I wasn't going faster. I wastraveling at about 25 mph. What should one do in that case where something hits your front wheel while traveling? It was the 1st time it ever happened to me.
AZgl1500 is right. When the rabbit hit the wheel it slowed it down and part of the wobble is the rear wheel is now going slightly faster so it is now trying to pass the front and causes the wobble. It's the same reason a trailer will wobble behind you and applying power usually stops the wobble. That gyroscope post about this was right on too.`
I agree, hit the throttle and lean way back and try to lift the front off the ground.
Ha, very nice! You mean the wabbit made the wheel wobble on the Wing??? (Whew, say that fast!!!)
