I pulled my carbs as I am replacing my throttle cables. Forgot to get a new fuel filter, and the best time to replace it is when the carbs are pulled-- anyone know if there is an automotive filter that is a suitable substitute? The Honda dealer won't be open till Tuesday...

I just used a 1/4 " standard automotive filter from my local jobber, cost was about $4.50 CAD,

The fuel filter can easily be changed with the carbs in place. I got mine from Cyclemax Ohio, and they can get things to you next day, if you want.

a regular atv, motorcycle or car type will do the job.

My filter came from my local AutoZone. I think it cost less than $4.
