Hello: I own a 1985 GL1200 Ltd.

Is it unheard of to add fuel injection cleaner to your gas tank. Any help on this subject will be greatley appreciated

Lots of people do this, so you aren't alone. Just put it in and forget it.

It certainly won't hurt your system if that's what you're concern is, but, don't expect miracle results if things like ignition and electricalshorts are the cause of your problems. Make certain that all of the bike's electrical connectors are in excellent condition by taking them apart and checking, then use dielectric compound when you put the connectors back together.

I use it for the fuel injectors on my SEI. Don't know if it really helps, but it doesn't seem to hurt either. It helped in my old Crown Vic!
