Fuel leaking at the carbs 1981GL1100 I

Hi everyone need some info. I started the bike let it run for a while and switched off but forgot to turn the fuel switch off, later smelt fuel and then saw that fuel had leaked out of the carbs (cant really see from where, but it came from the bottom of the carbs) and was laying on the engine. Have now turned the fuel switch off but a little fuel is still leaking out. The bike is on the main stand. Can someone please give me some advice on what the problem could be..

The most likely problem is leaky float valves, common problem. Always make sure you shut off the fuel when parked. Before you try and start it best to take the plugs out and turn over to make sure a cylinder isn't full of gas and hydrolocked. That can seriously damage your engine.
