I have a 1200 aspencade that runs great with 106,000 miles on it. Lately when i am driving down the road I have been hearing a ticking noise in the fuel pump. Is it probly the fuel pump going bad or is there somthing else causing it to make this noise? Thanks.

not sure about anything but when I am riding down the road I can put my finger on it and feel a knocking on the fuel pump and it seems to knock when I hear it tick

Sometimes when i first start it up it ticks a lotand then it tends to slow down to about 1 every 4 to 5 seconds. The bike is running great but for a bit my speedometer sensor gear was bad. I wondered if that was causing more voltage or somthing which in turn caused the ticking. With it idling i can still feel it in the fuel filter.
